Write them once
The same strategy runs in backtests, optimization, paper and live trading.
A hero concept by special.lu for jesse.trade. A short illustrative film. At 3 AM a trader breaks their own rules: chasing a pump, moving a stop-loss and making a revenge trade. With Jesse the same rules are written once in plain Python, backtested on historical data without peeking ahead and checked with Monte Carlo analysis, then run live exactly as written while the trader sleeps. Charts and logs in the film use simulated data and are not real trading results.

Write your strategy once in plain Python. Test it honestly on the past. Then let the same code run, exactly as written, day and night.
The same strategy runs in backtests, optimization, paper and live trading.
Backtests without look-ahead bias, and Monte Carlo to tell skill from luck.
Self-hosted on your own machine, with alerts on Telegram, Slack or Discord.
A built-in MCP server lets Claude, Cursor or Codex research and backtest locally.
